I believe in the One True God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, co-equal, co-existent and co-eternal with God the Father Almighty; and the only true head of the one true Christian church, and who makes intercession for all true Christian believers as the only mediator between God and man.
In order to pay the penalty for the sins of mankind, He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified and died.
He was buried, and on the third day He rose again from the dead.
He was seen by the Apostles and over 500 others over a period of forty days, after which He visibly ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there He will return to Earth where He will rule for one thousand years and He will judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, third person of the Triune Godhead, co-equal, co-existent and co-eternal with God the Father Almighty; who indwells each true Christian believer at the moment of salvation in order to assist the believer in numerous ways, teach the believer the truths of Scripture, and convict the believer if the believer sins.
I believe in the forgiveness of sin and salvation by the grace of God alone, through the solitary act of faith in Jesus Christ alone, by the true believer who receives that faith as a free gift from God, and all of which is done for the glory of God alone, as the Holy Scriptures clearly state.
I believe that good works, which are prepared for the true believer by God from the foundation of the earth, are the evidence of true saving faith and are manifested in every true Christian believer, as the Holy Scriptures clearly state.
I believe in the one true Christian church, founded in Jesus Christ by the Apostles, preserved by God through the universal body of true believers since that moment; and whose purpose, as commanded by Jesus Christ, is to go forth, share the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ, and making disciples of all nations by teaching Christians to observe and obey all that Jesus Christ has commanded.
I believe in the communion of the saints, the resurrection and glorification of the saints at the return of Jesus Christ and eternal life in the presence of God Almighty for all true believers; and the resurrection to judgment and eternal damnation for all who reject salvation in Jesus Christ.
Amen.
