What about Bob?
I
became a born again believer in Jesus Christ in April 2014, after
thinking I was a Christian for 30+ years. Although I thought I was,
was convinced I was, the fact is, I was not. What I believed about
Christianity and how I was living during those 30+ years did not line
up with the Biblical description of what a true believer was. In
short, I was one of the religious lost, that group of people about
whom Jesus spoke of when He said, “Not everyone who says to me,
‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who
does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will
say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast
out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me,
you workers of lawlessness.’” (Matthew 7:21-23)
I praise the Lord God Almighty for reaching down to a lowly wretch like me, and calling me to Himself by convicting me of my sin by the power of the Holy Spirit, and giving me the gift of faith, the faith needed to come to Him through Jesus for salvation.
I began this site after a conversation on Facebook, between myself, an unbeliever, and a "hatetheist." They both brought up several points against God, the Bible, and Christianity. Since Facebook is somewhat limited as far as its ability to handle long posts, I began this site as a place to write out my responses to them, and be able to post a link on Facebook to the responses to their questions and statements. Those original 11 responses made up the beginning of this site, and can be found on the blog. Since then, the site has started to grow with more blog articles, more information, more pages, etc.
I have been greatly blessed by God with a beautiful wife to whom I have been married for almost 31 years, six children, 20 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way! My wife and I enjoy a rural lifestyle, and we have also been blessed by God for leading us to a wonderful church with a great pastor and a loving church family. My wife and I love the Lord with all our hearts, and we give all thanks to the Lord God for blessing us with so much, and continuing to bless us with all spiritual blessings.
Before I sign off of this page, however, there is one more thing (the most important thing) that I need to address, and that is our hope and prayer for you. Both my wife and I can attest to the saving power of Jesus Christ, for without Him we both would have been lost forever, with no hope of escaping an eternity in hell, away from God. Since becoming Christians, we never cease to be amazed at our Lord's mercy, wisdom, blessings and power.
If you would like to experience the saving power of Jesus Christ, all it takes is to simply kneel before Christ and confess your sin to Him, repent of your sin, and turn your heart and life over to Him - living for Him. It is the most important decision you will ever make in your life.
